Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last Updated: 19 August 2026
Thank you for shopping with Marian Clothing. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders placed through our website.
By placing an order with Marian Clothing, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Delivery Areas
Marian Clothing delivers orders within South Africa using third-party courier services.
We may be able to arrange delivery to other locations upon request. Additional delivery charges and arrangements may apply.
2. Order Processing
Orders are processed after payment has been successfully received and confirmed.
Orders are generally prepared for dispatch within 3-5 business days, depending on product availability, order volume and whether the item is ready-made or made to order.
Custom-designed, personalised and made-to-measure garments may require additional preparation time. The estimated completion or dispatch timeframe will be communicated to the customer before or after the order is confirmed.
Please note that weekends and public holidays may affect processing and delivery times.
3. Custom and Made-to-Order Garments
Custom-designed, made-to-measure and personalised garments require additional time for design, preparation, fitting and production.
Delivery timeframes for these orders will depend on the specific garment and requirements of the customer.
Where a specific completion date is agreed upon, Marian Clothing will make reasonable efforts to meet that date. However, production or delivery may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control.
Customers are encouraged to place custom and bridal orders well in advance of their required event date.
4. Shipping Fees
Shipping charges are calculated according to the delivery address, parcel size, weight and applicable courier rates.
Where applicable, the shipping fee will be displayed during checkout before the order is completed.
If additional delivery charges become necessary due to circumstances such as an incorrect address, remote-area surcharge or repeated failed delivery attempts, the customer may be responsible for those additional charges.
5. Courier Services
Marian Clothing may use The Courier Guy or another suitable third-party courier service to deliver orders.
Once an order has been handed over to the courier, delivery is subject to the courier company’s operating procedures, routes and delivery schedules.
Where tracking information is available, it may be provided to the customer so that the delivery can be monitored.
6. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times may vary depending on the customer’s location, courier availability, product availability and other circumstances.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Delays may occur because of:
High order volumes
Public holidays
Weather conditions
Road or transport disruptions
Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
Remote delivery locations
Courier operational delays
Circumstances beyond Marian Clothing’s reasonable control
Marian Clothing will make reasonable efforts to assist customers when a delivery is delayed.
7. Correct Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order.
Please ensure that your:
Full name is correct
Delivery address is complete
Contact number is correct
Email address is correct
Apartment, unit or business details are included where applicable
Marian Clothing cannot be held responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
If an order needs to be re-sent because incorrect delivery information was provided, additional shipping charges may apply.
8. Failed Delivery Attempts
The courier may attempt to deliver the parcel to the address provided by the customer.
If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the address is incorrect, the customer cannot be contacted, or another issue prevents delivery, the courier may make another delivery attempt or return the parcel according to its procedures.
Any additional delivery or return-to-sender charges may be payable by the customer where the failed delivery was caused by information or circumstances within the customer’s control.
9. Tracking Your Order
Where tracking is available, Marian Clothing may provide the customer with a tracking number or delivery information.
Customers can use the tracking information to monitor the progress of their delivery.
Once the parcel has been handed to the courier, delivery updates may be provided directly through the courier’s tracking system.
10. Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel appears to be lost, significantly delayed or damaged during delivery, please contact Marian Clothing as soon as possible.
We may need to contact the courier and investigate the matter.
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, we recommend taking photographs of the packaging and the contents before disposing of any packaging materials.
Marian Clothing will work with the courier to resolve delivery-related issues where appropriate.
11. Inspecting Your Order
Customers are encouraged to inspect their order promptly after delivery.
If you receive an incorrect, damaged or defective item, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and supporting photographs where applicable.
This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer protection laws.
12. Delivery of Custom and Bridal Orders
For bridal gowns, robes, custom dresses, traditional garments and other made-to-order clothing, customers should allow sufficient time for production, fittings and delivery.
Where a garment requires a fitting or alterations, the customer may need to attend an agreed fitting appointment before the final garment is completed.
Marian Clothing cannot guarantee delivery before a customer’s event date where an order is placed too close to the required date or where delays arise outside our reasonable control.
13. Collection
Where available, customers may be offered a collection option instead of courier delivery.
Collection arrangements, location and collection times will be communicated to the customer.
Customers collecting an order may be required to provide appropriate order or identification details before the order is released.
14. International Orders
Marian Clothing currently focuses on deliveries within South Africa.
International delivery may be available by special arrangement. Customers should contact Marian Clothing before placing an international order so that delivery availability and costs can be confirmed.
Any applicable customs duties, import taxes or other charges associated with international deliveries may be the responsibility of the customer.
